BROWN BELT

Brown & Brown Senior Belt Kicks
1. Out-to-In - Jump Spinning Out-to-In (Tornado)

3. Skip Triple Roundhouse Hook (front leg)
4. Skip Roundhouse - 360° Back
5. Skip Roundhouse - 360° Roundhouse

8th Taeguek Form

Look forward/Step left leg to back stance/Double middle guarding block (fists)

Open to left front stance/Target left hand/Reverse punch with right hand

Small jab step with left foot (lift foot off the floor)/Left leg jump front kick

Right leg back kick/Left back stance/Double middle knife hand block & YELL

Look over left shoulder/Right leg pivot turning 270° step in/out with left leg to left front stance/Low X-block (left on top)

Shift weight and slide right leg to modified reverse front stance/Mountain block

Step across in front with right leg, fists chamber at left side/Left leg side kick/Look and turn 180° to land in right front stance/Reverse upset punch with left hand (right hammerfist at front of left shoulder)

Two steps forward to right front stance/Low X-block (right on top)

Shift weight and slide left leg to modified reverse front stance/Mountain block

Step across in front with left leg, fists chamber at right side/Right leg side kick/Look and turn 180° to land in left front stance/Reverse upset punch with right hand (left hammerfist at front of right shoulder)

Look left (to front)/Left foot pivots 90° to front as right leg comes in then steps backward to back stance/Double middle knife hand block

Open to left front stance/Target out with left hand/Reverse punch with right hand

Right leg front kick returns to step back/Step back with left leg/Draw right leg to right cat stance/Right hand low (groin) checking block

Look left/Shift to left cat stance/Double middle knife hand block

Left leg front kick, with left hand target out, landing in left front stance/Reverse punch with right hand

Step back to left cat stance/Left hand low (groin) checking block

Look over right shoulder (180°)/Shift to right cat stance/Double middle knife hand block

Right leg front kick, with right hand target out, landing in right front stance/Reverse punch with left hand

Step back to right cat stance/Right hand low (groin) checking block

Look right (to back of room)/Move right leg to create left back stance/Double low guarding block (fists)

Left leg front kick/Right leg jump/pop front kick/Target out with left hand/Right front stance/Right arm out-to-in inner forearm middle block/Invert front stance with right target out/Revert to right front stance/Reverse punch with left hand & YELL

Look over left shoulder/Right foot is pivot for 270° turn to right back stance/Single knife hand block (chamber opposite arm as elbow to rear)

Open to left front stance/Supported right elbow strike//Right side back fist to temple (chamber opposite arm as elbow to rear)//Left middle front punch

Look right 180° move left foot to right foot changing direction/Step out right foot to left back stance/Single knife hand middle block (chamber opposite arm as elbow to rear)

Open to right front stance/Supported left elbow strike//Left side back fist to temple (chamber opposite arm as elbow to rear)//Right middle front punch & YELL

Free sparring (Olympic and continuous styles)

BREAK - Required at test for promotion to Brown Senior Belt: 360 Back Kick

Average time in rank: 6 months

Requirements:

  • Pullups
    • 5
    • 30sec hold
  • Pushups - 15
  • Flexibility - 12
  • Situps - 30 in 1min
  • Techniques must be soild
  • Able to excute kicks with proper balance
  • Forms must done with energy and power

·        25 Teaching Credits

The purpose of this program is to help students develop leadership skills for our black belt candidates.  This is a critical attribute all black belts must possess within a classroom as well as the outside world.

 

All students must schedule prior to teaching class.  Assistant Instructors will have teaching cards to keep track of the classes they taught.  A schedule will be provided for assistant instructors to schedule the classes they will teach.

 

Classroom responsibilities will include:

·        Show up on time

·        Must be in full uniform

·        Assist head instructor with lining up class

·        Walk around the room and help students with techniques

·        Take class roll

·        Be positive role model for the class

·        Help motivate students
