Kim's Karate: Success Stories
Tae Kwon Do has made me feel stronger and more flexible.
My instructors are very nice and I enjoy being in their class.-Natalie
Jones
Since becoming a part of the Kim's Karate family, my girls
confidence has increased. I have seen an improvement in their
coordination, strength and flexibility. Not only have they
gained needed physical activity but have also strengthened
and developed valuable character traits. The instructors at
Kims and the school as a whole are the best I've seen in organized
martial arts training.
I highly recommend Kims Karate to anyone looking for any
type of physical activity for adults and children.

My son, Roger, began taking Tae Kwon Doe at Kim’s Karate
when he had just turned 5. At a time when he was going through
some behavioral problems at school, his TKD instructors worked
with him in taking the 5 Tenets used in class, (courtesy, integrity,
leadership, discipline, self respect) and applying them to his
everyday life. As a result, I have watched him grown into a
focused and self confident little boy. Additionally, his level
of respect towards friends, family and teachers has exceeded
that of most seven year olds and often commented on by other
parents. Kim’s has become an integral part of our day
to day routine and the teachers have become like family

I would like to take this opportunity to Thank Kim's Karate
for helping my daughter to develop more confidence in herself
and to help with her emotions. Since
she has started taking Cardio Kicking boxing she has lost
over 20 pounds and went from a size 14 to a size 8. Her confidence
is at an alltime high and she is more willing to try new things.
Especial thanks for Master Kevin and Master Omar for providing
good role models and interest in my daughter.
Thanks again

The Cardio Kickboxing course at Kim's Karate seemed like an
ideal choice to me. It contained all the elements of my old
Tae Kwon Do classes and directly addressed the fitness and weight
problems I was having. In addition, it was conveniently located
just a few blocks from my home, which made it very difficult
for me find an excuse not to go class even on those days I got
home from work beat.
In the first few weeks, I was so focused on doing my best
to develop the skill and techniques for kickboxing that loosing
weight was just a side benefit. Just like the old days the
class became a place of camaraderie where everyone was made
to feel welcome no matter what their fitness level.
Just for the record - I've
lost 45 pounds and 6 inches off my waist in just over 9 months,
going from 241 lbs to 195 lbs. While my ultimate goal is still
ahead of me I have realized that my weight is just a small
part of what is important to me. The goals
I had when I started Tae Kwan Do were transformed as I came
to understand more and more of Tae Kwon Do. Once again my
goals are being transformed as I realize there are many benefits
to Kickboxing in addition to loosing weight.
Thanks for the inspiration, encouragement and motivation
to achieve more then I understand.

I
started martial arts to lose weight but have accomplished
much more than that. Since joining Kim's Karate kickboxing
classes, I have not only been able to lose weight,
allowing me to feel better and fitter every day, but
have also obtained a more heightened sense of grace
balance and agility. Helping me to build self-confidence
by teaching me self defense skills for various situations
from sparing drills to tournament sessions, TKD has
proved to be considerably hard work, paying dividends
of lots of fun and life-time friendships. Having
chosen Kim's for the rigorous training, preservation
of courtesies/traditions, not to mention knowledgeable
staff, I feel strongly that Kim's had had an emphatically
positive impact on my life.

When
a friend told me about kickboxing, I had no clue how
it would help me. To
my surprise it has not only kept me in shape but it
also has strengthened my confidence in all aspects
of my life. After
a hard day's work, kickboxing helps release all the
stress and tension I felt all day.

My
name is Habib Naieem. The cardio kickboxing classes
at Kim's Karate have helped me to shed nearly 30 pounds
in just two months. Before joining Kim's Karate I was
out of shape and overweight. At 33 years old I had already
lost the discipline for diet and exercise. I was struggling
to find a healthy balance between the sometimes 60 hr
workweeks and raising three children under the age of
eight. My daily routine consisted of long workdays,
homework with the kids, a late dinner, then sleep. I
was always tired and void of energy. I would probably
be in that rut today had it not been for a chance visits
to Kim’s Karate a couple of months ago.
I was picking up my son from his Karate class when I
saw the cardio kickboxing class in action. I was immediately
impressed by the instructor’s enthusiasm and skill
and by the workout he was giving his class. I thought
this could be the thing could reinvigorate me. My hunch
was dead on. My physical transformation has been swift
and stunning. I’m fitting into clothes I haven’t
been able to squeeze into for years and I’m constantly
buoyed by my newfound energy. The
overall body conditioning that cardio kickboxing provides
coupled with fighting techniques that I’ve learned
have even helped me defend myself against a recent mugging.
I’m healthier, happier and I have a new body thanks
to the cardio kickboxing classes.

When
I started Martial Arts I was nine years old. I was a
bit of a troublemaker and my mom suggested that I try
a Tae Kwon Do class at Springfield Mall. I thought "Why
not?" and that is where my story takes place.
I wasn't doing well and was always getting into trouble.
But when I walked to the dojo and visited one of the
classes I was excited because it looked like so much
fun! My schedule was already packed with baseball and
soccer, but after one class I told my mom and dad that
I wanted to do Tae Kwon Do instead, and I have never
regretted it! I attended classes three days a week and
loved how it kept me in shape and how much fun it was
every time. Each class I showed up to learn and made
many friends. When I got my first belt, it was the best
moment of my life.
When it came time for sparring I was excited and scared.
After the first day of sparring I hated it and thought
that it was very hard. I didn't want to do it again
but after a while I got better until I began to love
it and wanted to come every day to spar. I started to
go four days a week and then got my yellow, green, and
blue belts. I enjoyed it more and more, and even started
to do better in my schoolwork. The discipline I acquired
from Tae Kwon Do helped me in school and still does
today.
Years went by and I kept getting better. I went from
blue to purple to red to brown to brown senior. I was
so good at sparring, I decided to spar at Master G's
level and try for the Junior Olympic Nationals. There
I met and fought the best fighters from each state.
I fought my hardest and won third place. It was a tough
fight and I fought my hardest and that was all I could
do. After that, I was determined to get my black belt
and win first place. I trained six days a week. It was
hard but it was worth it because I got first place in
every tournament and I knew that I was ready when nationals
came again. During my training, I tested for black belt
and broke my knuckle, which meant I couldn't spar to
pass the test. Master Kevin passed me, though, as along
as I could spar at the final test. I agreed and trained
even harder. I didn't let that slow me down and I did
everything the other students did, except spar. My hard
work paid off and I got my black belt, I was at full
speed heading for Nationals.
My dad drove me to Atlanta, Georgia, and I competed
the next day in forms. Sadly, I did not place but I
knew I had to make it up in sparring. I was second to
fight and was very nervous. But as soon as I stepped
into the ring, I forgot everything and was completely
focused on the fight. I won that fight and then another.
It came down to finals and I had to spar someone from
Manila that I had been watching for a long time. He
scored a lot of points against the others and I got
nervous that I wouldn't be able to beat him. But when
it got down to nine seconds, he had five points and
I had four. I decided that I had come too far and worked
too hard to give up now and I went into the ring and
scored the two points and won. My team and dad were
screaming, jumping up and down, and giving me hugs.
They told me that I was Number One in the nation and
I knew that I earned it.
My new goal is to get
my second-degree black belt and win the U.S. Open as
a fourteen-year-old. I know my dad will always be there
as long as I never give up. This is my story and I hope
that I have inspired many kids and adults to never give
up.

If
you want to lose weight, look fabulous, boost your energy
and maintain the weight off, you must join Kim’s
Karate immediately.
I have been attending Kim’s Karate Cardio Kickboxing
class for approximately 21 months and have managed to
lose 30 pounds and most importantly keep the weight
off! I am a 26 year old female- and have struggled with
my weight all my life until I found Kim’s Karate
and decided to commit to going to class three times
a week and believe me I never imagined it would be this
much fun to lose the weight and stay healthy. Joining
a martial arts school is a great way to quickly get
in shape and the school offers a myriad of workout routines
that there is never a dull moment. The instructors always
ensure that you get a rigorous workout and compel you
to keep coming back for more. I had tried everything
to lose weight and keep it off , aerobic videos, expensive
workout equipment, diet pills..etc.. you name it, I
tried it! And none of these attempts were as effective
as the curriculum at Kim’s Karate and the expert
instructors that are on-site to coax and push you to
your limit. The instructors are gregarious and are dedicated
to providing optimum workout routines and offer invaluable
advice on how to improve your overall well-being. I
highly recommend that you attend Kim’s Karate
Cardio Kickboxing class to jumpstart your way into a
new and happier you. If you are serious about losing
weight, I emphatically urge you to checkout the class
and get a glimpse of the high energy curriculum that
is taught by professional and highly qualified instructors.
Enough touting about my personal experience at the school
and my weight loss over the past 21 months, come and
see for yourself how amazing the classes are.

I would just like to take a few minutes and tell
you how grateful I am for everything that you have
done for Lexie. Since
joining your Karate class, she is more focused and
responsible. Your star program has helped give her
incentive to help around the house and pick up her
toys. Thanks to your Turtle Hill program, she knows
her phone numbers, address, the planets and how to
count in two different languages - and she is not
yet four. You should be very proud
of the work that you have accomplished with each of
these children. Thier eyes light up when you walk
in the room. I just wish that I had known you when
my younger - I think he would have gained a great
deal of respect towards others with your help.
Thanks again!
